Planfix Mobile App 0.64: Notifications and Hourly Calendar
Planfix mobile app 0.64 adds custom notifications: you choose which task notifications you receive, so a busy task doesn’t have to buzz your phone with every update. How to use the new features of the Planfix mobile app 0.64, step by step
Step 1. Update the app
Planfix has one universal mobile task management app for iOS and Android. Install the latest version from the App Store or Google Play. The app is in beta and under active development, so if something looks off, report it to Planfix support.
Step 2. Set custom notifications for a task
Open a task, for example, from the Chronicle, and tap the menu at the bottom of the task card. Then tap Notifications and pick one of four options:
- Standard notifications
- Receive notifications for all actions
- Disable notifications
- Special notification settings
To choose which events you are notified about in the app as a whole, open More → Settings → Notifications in the app; see notification settings in the mobile app.
Step 3. See section titles in the task card
Task card screens now show a section title. In the video, the CHECKLIST title sits above items such as “Define event objectives”, and the DATA TAGS title appears even on an empty screen, next to the note No data tags attached.
Step 4. Create a task in the hourly calendar
Open the Planner tab. The My calendar view shows a week with hourly rows. Select a time slot, and a quick-create dialog opens with the Task name, Date and Time fields and the Cancel and Save buttons. Enter a name, check the date and time, and tap Save: the task appears as a block in the calendar. In the video, a 10:00–12:00 slot becomes a task named “Marketing meeting”. Step 5. Add a data tag with the new form
Go to the task’s Comments tab and tap the plus icon to the left of the comment field: it offers Add file, Add data tag and Add reminder. Choose Add data tag and pick the tag you need. Data tags now open in a redesigned form with a Date / Time row; fill it in and tap SAVE. The entry appears in the comments, and the app confirms it with Action with data tag added. In the video, the “Marketing meeting” task gets a “Conference hall” data tag this way, alongside its existing Actual working time entry.
Step 6. Set up recurrence in the new design
In the new-task form, go to Additional parameters and tap Repeat. The redesigned Recurrence settings screen has these fields:
- Repeats, for example, every day
- With interval, for example, 1 day
- Task creation time
- Start recurrence
- Repeat until, for example, No end date
A summary line spells out the rule, such as “The task repeats every 1 day, from 04-02-2025”. Tap SAVE to return to the task form, then tap CREATE, and the app shows Task created.
Other changes in Planfix mobile app 0.64
The 0.64 release notes list three more changes that the video doesn’t show:
- Zoom in on contact avatars: you can look closer when needed.
- Improved menus: the context menu has a scroll indicator for smoother navigation.
- Email headers: they are displayed directly in the system to make tracking easier.
Who gets the most out of release 0.64
- Managers who follow dozens of tasks: keep Standard notifications on most of them and switch to Receive notifications for all actions only on key tasks that need close attention.
- Employees involved in many tasks: choose Disable notifications for tasks you only check now and then, so the updates that matter stand out.
FAQ
Where are notification settings in the Planfix mobile app?
For a single task, tap the menu at the bottom of the task card and choose Notifications: the options are Standard notifications, Receive notifications for all actions, Disable notifications and Special notification settings. For the app as a whole, open More → Settings → Notifications in the app.
Why am I not getting notifications from the Planfix app?
Check that the Mobile app channel in your notification subscriptions is active: in the web version, it is in the Subscriptions and notifications section of your employee card. Choosing events under More → Settings → Notifications in the app gives the same result. Also check the task itself: if Disable notifications is selected in its Notifications menu, you won’t get updates for that task.
