Planfix Basic Course: A Free 13-Module Learning Path

June 2, 2022 3 min read 6

The Planfix Basic Course is a free learning path in Planfix Academy for people who want to learn the whole system, not just one section of it. It is made up of 13 modules and 98 lessons covering tasks, comments, projects, contacts, planners, directories, data tags, reports, custom fields, processes, Gantt charts, email settings and workspaces.

This post is a short overview of the learning path: who it is for, what it covers and how to start. The lessons themselves live in Planfix Academy, so you can go straight there whenever you are ready.

  • Level: Beginner
  • Lessons: 98, in 13 modules that open one after another
  • Price: free
  • Certificate: yes, after you finish the path

Who this course is for

The Basic Course is for new Planfix users who want the full picture: employees who already work in a company account, managers who set work up for a team, and anyone who has finished a short introductory course and wants more depth. No previous experience is needed. The path starts with tasks and task management, where all work in Planfix begins, and only then moves on to projects, reports and account settings.

What you’ll learn

  • How tasks work in detail: fields, roles, checklists, subtasks, reminders, periodic and sequential tasks.
  • How to discuss work in task comments: replies and quotes, hidden comments, time spent and tasks created from a comment.
  • How to structure work in Planfix projects and keep your client base in contacts and companies.
  • How to build your own views of work in Planfix planners and your own reports and charts.
  • How to set up Planfix for your company: custom fields, directories, processes with scripts and buttons, email settings and workspaces.
