Day One with Planfix: A Free Course for New Users
Day one with Planfix is a free Planfix Academy course for people who have just opened Planfix for the first time. In 10 short lessons, it walks you through the everyday basics: finding your tasks, accepting them, commenting, changing statuses, meeting deadlines and creating tasks of your own. You can complete the whole course in one sitting.

Who this course is for
The course is for new Planfix users: employees who have just been invited to a company account and managers who are trying the system for the first time. No experience with Planfix is needed. Everything in Planfix is built around tasks and task management, so the course starts with the first task you see after signing in and goes on from there.

- Where your tasks live in Planfix and how to open them in a Planfix planner.
- How to accept a task, discuss it in task comments and move it through its statuses.
- How deadlines work and what happens when a task becomes overdue.

- Introduction. The idea behind Planfix: a small number of simple building blocks, with tasks as the main one.
- How can I see my tasks? Your first task in the Summary planner and how the same task looks in other sections.
- How do I accept a task? Assigners and assignees, and what accepting a task means.
- How do I add comments to a task? Giving feedback and asking questions right in the task.
- How do I change the status of a task? Statuses as the life cycle of a task, from New to In progress and further.
- Task deadlines. Where to see the completion date and why it matters to the assignee.
- Overdue tasks. How Planfix highlights overdue tasks and where they are collected.
- Creating a new task. The plus button in the main menu and other ways to add a task.
- How do I add a new user to Planfix? Inviting coworkers to your company account.
- How can I see an employee’s tasks? Task lists of other employees, for managers who track the team’s work.
How to take the course
The course runs on the Planfix Academy website, where all 10 lessons live. Open Day one with Planfix, sign in to Planfix Academy and go through the lessons in order, starting with the very first task you see in Planfix and ending with tasks you create yourself. Your progress is saved, so you can stop at any lesson and come back to it later.
