In project management, a milestone is a checkpoint or significant point (for example, moving forward to a new stage when working on a project, or signing important documents). There are usually crucial events associated with milestones, which are stipulated in the project plan.
- In Planfix, any task with a duration set to 0 is considered a milestone.
- In Gantt charts, milestones are indicated with diamond shapes:
