Telegram is a free cross-platform messenger for smartphones and other devices that lets users exchange text messages and various types of media files. Planfix supports several options for working with Telegram. They are all available once you have authorized Telegram in Planfix

Who is notified in Planfix of a new message in a Telegram channel or group

• Employees and contacts who are directly mentioned in the message.
• If no one mentioned - employees from the last message in which the author of the message was involved in any way.
• The task assignees are notified if no one is notified, according to the first two points.

In this case:

• If the option is set to notify only those present in the Telegram chat, only those who Planfix knows are in the chat will be notified.
• If contacts without access are added to the notification list, they will only receive notifications if they are involved in the task in any role.

Nuances

• Full integration with Telegram is only available in paid or premium accounts.
• Only Notifications from Planfix to Telegram are available for free accounts.
• During the trial period, full functionality is available for working with Telegram.
• In the integration settings, there is an option to activate Create new task if there are no active communication tasks with this contact.
• For tasks created via the integration, the initiator is the user who wrote to the bot, and the assignee is the employee specified in the template for creating tasks via the integration. If no assignee is specified, the system assigns the account owner or the employee who set up the integration.

Limitations

Telegram supports attachments of:

• PDF and ZIP files < 5MB
• Images in the formats JPG, JPEG, PNG, and GIF formats< 5MB
• MP4 videos < 50 MB
• MP3 audio files < 50 MB

Files in other formats or larger sizes will be sent as a download link.

Additionally

You can use the quick reply mechanism to answer general questions in customer correspondence.

Important

According to the messenger's rules, initiating contact with Planfix or Telegram is not allowed.
