Fields of this type store text information. The maximum value in characters is not defined and is only limited by the total size of a single directory entry, which is 16 MB. You can create a Text field as a custom field, a directory field, or a data tag field.

Additional parameters for this type of field in directories:
- Mandatory field — prevents saving the directory entry until this field has a value.
- Show in entry list — allows selecting additional directory field for display.

- Wrap the heading — allows long headers to be wrapped onto a new line.
