Project templates

The template allows you to quickly create projects with predefined parameters: belonging to the project group, roles in the project, task templates within the project, and so on. The project template also makes it possible to create a structure of standard tasks, from which a project of this type usually consists. By default, each account has one template called Standard template. For this template, projects are created if no other template is selected. This template can be edited, but can not be deleted.
Creating a Project Template
To create a new template, go to the Projects tab and click the New Project Template button:
Clicking opens a form for creating a new project template, in which you can specify:
- The set of project details - i.e. what fields will be present in the created project.
- Data pre-written in the project fields (for example, project group, over project, role in the project, etc. data, to save time to fill them in the project creation process).
All templates are in the Projects section, in a separate tab Templates. You can edit the saved template, add or remove additional parameters.
After clicking Save and go, the list goes to tasks of this project template. This list does not display the tasks themselves, but templates, by which they will be created.
By default, the list is empty.
Using the Project Template
When creating a project, select the required template from the list:
In the form of creating a project, all pre-installed parameters in the template will be loaded.
Linking the project and template
A project created from a template will be associated with it in everything that concerns the form, but not the content of the template. I.e:
- If changes are made to the template in the form (for example, a new field is added), then these changes will be automatically displayed in all the projects created for this template;
- If changes to the content are made in the template (for example, the artist is added), this will not affect the projects created for this template in any way. For example, if you apply a project template to an existing project, task templates saved within the project template will not be created.
Access to the project template
By default, all employees have access to the created project template. If necessary, you can change access to the template after its creation on the corresponding panel:
Permissions can be changed by the author of the template, as well as by his managers and administrator of the account.

- In free accounts there is a restriction on 2 project templates ("standard + one more").
- During the trial period there are no restrictions on the creation of project templates.
