In order to group data in output files, you need to use special variables. These variables are available in reports where there is grouping. For each grouping in the variable list, there is a variable with the format:
- Report.Column::Grouping N
where N is the sequence number of the grouping.
The sequence number is determined by the position of the particular type of grouping in the grouping list in the Selection parameters report tab. Look at these grouping settings, for example:
- Grouping by project will be number 1
- Grouping by task will be number 2
In the report export template, each variable for grouping is a column in an Excel table. For example, grouping by project and task in the template file could look like this:
