In Planfix, a contact is any company or individual you work with. For convenience, contacts are categorized as either Companies (typically legal entities) or Contacts (usually individuals).

System templates

A system template is a default template available to all account users and cannot be deleted. System templates are marked accordingly in the template list: hFJnnt.jpg

Creating a contact template

You can create your custom contact template by going to ContactsTemplates New contact template: nOkMoR.jpg Similarly, you can create a company template by going to ContactsTemplatesNew company template.

You can turn a contact or company template into a system template anytime. To do this, select the desired template in the list and click on Make system template button. pdWcy3.jpg

Important

  • You can add new fields (details) to any contact or company template. These fields will automatically be displayed in all Companies or Contacts created with this template.
