You can create a Planfix account for your team or company on Planfix's website. An account is created by one person, who becomes the account owner. The account owner can invite other users to the account by adding them as employees in the Company section. If necessary, the account owner can be changed.

Freezing an account

If there is no activity, such as adding new tasks or actions within 30 days, Planfix automatically freezes the account. One week before the freeze, the account owner will receive a warning and a suggestion to show any activity on the account if it is still needed. An account will not be frozen if:

  • It is a trial version;
  • The account is paid.

For example, if you have not logged into your account for 30 days, it will only be frozen once the payment period has expired.

A frozen account can be unfrozen within 30 days of being frozen. This option is only available to the account owner.

Deleting an account

An account can be deleted by manually freezing it. The account owner is the only one who can perform this action in the Account management section.

Once an account is frozen, no one can use it. It is then deleted according to the automatic deletion procedure.

Automatic account deletion

Reminder: Planfix will automatically freeze the account if there is no activity, such as adding new tasks or actions, within 30 days.

From this moment on — regardless of whether the account was frozen manually or automatically — the countdown for the physical deletion of the account begins:

  • 30 days for trial accounts for which no package has been selected.
  • 90 days if the account has a paid package.

From the moment the account becomes inactive until it is physically deleted, a time frame of:

  • 60 days for trial accounts for which no package has been selected.
  • 120 days if the account has a paid package.

During the deletion process, the account owner will receive several warning emails in advance:

  • An email about the upcoming account freeze (after three weeks of inactivity).
  • An email about the freeze (after 30 days of inactivity).
  • An email about the imminent deletion (one week before deletion).
  • An email about the deletion with a link to download all data and files from the account (after 60 days of inactivity).

Important

Deleting the account is a physical process, and fully recovering the data from this point onwards is impossible.
