Planfix can send notifications from external email addresses. Mail account data can be configured at the level of the user's personal card and at the level of the whole account.


Setting in user's personal card

This option is used if notifications are to be sent from a personal (including personal corporative) user address. The setting is done in the user's personal card, "Work with e-mail" tab:

Activating the checkbox, you will be able to enter your mailbox data:

Setting for the whole account

In some cases, it is necessary that certain members of the account interact with the outside world through one email address and one universal signature is added for them. For example, this approach is often used in the organization of the support service - the user works with an impersonated operator and is not attached to specific employees.


It can be set in Account management. This can be done only by account owner. Checkbox Send outgoing mail via corporative server is in the Corporative server tab:

After it is activated, the fields for entering the data of the mail server and the account become available.

Important

  • Testing settings is necessary, click on the "Test account" button. If the test fails, you can not save these changes, otherwise Planfix will not be able to send messages to your contractors.
  • If sending mail is set both at the account level and at the level of a particular user, then the settings at the user level will work. . This allows to use a common mail address (setting it up at the account level) for a part of employees, and personal addresses (having set them up in personal cards of employees)- for the other part in the same account.
  • Sending messages from external mailboxes is possible only for paid and premium accounts. Users on a free package will not be able to use this functionality, their emails will be sent from the internal mail address in Planfix.
  • For new Planfix accounts, these features will be available during the trial period, so they can test their application for their situation. If after the end of the trial period the account goes to a free package, the letters will begin to be sent from the internal mail address in Planfix.
