Some tasks do not need to be monitored. Examples of such tasks are reminder tasks or tasks someone assigns to themselves.
For these tasks, the attribute Task without mandatory result checking can be set. Then, the assignee themselves will be able to change the task status to Complete.
If this attribute is not set, the task status will change to Complete according to the settings of the corresponding status set.
