Integration with VIES allows you to check the validity of VAT identification numbers for companies registered in European Union countries.
Typically used for:
- Quick verification of European counterparties.
- Auto-filling company details when registering a customer.
- Can be used in business processes, for example, to notify when a VAT number is invalid.
What it does
- Checks the validity of a VAT number.
- Retrieves the official company name.
How to use
- Enter the VAT number in the contact card field.
- Planfix will send a request to the VIES system.
- If the number is valid, the required data will be automatically filled in the specified fields.
Integration setup
- Go to Account Management — Integrations — Autofill services.
- Enable integration with VIES.
- Add a name.
- Specify which fields in Planfix contain the VAT number.
- Map the fields for autofill..
- Save the settings.
