For the full setup, see <a href=\"https:\/\/planfix.com\/blog\/tips\/how-planfix-scripts-work\/\">how Planfix scripts work, step by step<\/a>; here is the logic the video shows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Trigger: the event that starts a script<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">First, choose the event (0:41), for example, a field value changing, a task being created or a comment being added. In the video, the event is \u201cfield value is modified,\u201d and the field is the status.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Condition: what the deal must match<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Next, set the conditions (0:56), for example, the status equals Qualification. The script runs only when the event occurs and all conditions are met. Other conditions include the day of the week, whether the task is overdue and whether the last comment came from a contact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Action: what the script does<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Then choose the action (1:23): send an email, change field values or add items. You also set whether the script runs immediately or after a delay and on whose behalf it acts: a specified user or, in most cases, a robot, which requires a paid account (1:09).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Buttons: the same actions, started by hand<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Buttons are configured like scripts, but a button has no trigger event (2:02): you set when it is shown and who may click it, by team, employee, client or role. Several buttons can be combined into a group, which then appears inside the task. Buttons require Plan B or Plan X.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Example: an automatic email when a deal reaches Qualification<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The video\u2019s example automates one stage of the sales pipeline. The script reacts when the status changes, checks that it equals Qualification and runs the \u201csend email\u201d action: pick or create an email template, set the sender and the recipient (here, the counterparty), then choose how the email is added to the task as a comment. When a request moves to Qualification, the customer automatically receives an email with an online test, and a matching message appears inside the request (1:53).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No one has to remember the follow-up, and every customer gets the same email at the same stage. In Customer Service, if no one accepts a request within 30 minutes (the time is customizable), the robot Morty messages a specific person, such as a manager.
