SIN — returns the sine of the specified angle.

Format

SIN(number)

Important

If the argument is given in degrees, convert it to radians using the RADIANS().

Example

Formula Description Result
SIN(PI()/2) Sine of pi/2 radians 1.0
SIN(30*PI()/180) Sine of a 30-degree angle. 0.5
SIN(RADIANS(30)) Sine of 30 degrees. 0.5
